OPPO (Guangdong Oppo Telecommunications Corp) is a Chinese technology company known for its smartphones. Its headquarters are located in Dongguan, China. The brand name ‘OPPO’ was registered in 2001, however, the company was launched in 2004 by Tony Chen. It is owned by the Chinese multinational conglomerate BBK Electronics and recently in 2021, OnePlus merged with OPPO as a subsidiary. Apart from smartphones, OPPO’s product line also includes smartwatches as well as lifestyle and smart home accessories. The company also has its custom Android-based ColorOS user interface.
